Web services are practically synonymous with XML, the payload format used for communicating between client and server. However, the application architecture imposed by the appearance of Ajax and REST techniques has forced many to contemplate alternatives like JavaScript Object Notation (JSON). JSON has come to the attention of Web service providers as a lighter and more friendly format for Web services clients in the form of a browser, or what would essentially be an Ajax-enabled application accessing RESTful Web services. First of all i need to thank everyone for their great support of this work (ajaxifying joomla!) i want to announce that the new Ajax work is on the way. This works is based on the popular Prototype toolkit and Scriptaculous and it is also compatible with any other toolkit. I have been busy for 2 weeks working on the execution of different kind of scripts from inline to included scripts inside each components of joomla. I have tested different methods for evaluating and executing scripts. I was not completely successful but now i can assure you that it will work for almost 90% (the only problem that i faced is for Tiny_Mce editor) However i am still working on this problem and i believe that this works is possible and we can perfectly make this happen. I will publish a new content about different methods of including and executing JavaScript dynamically. Please if you have any suggestion for making this happen leave your comments here. |

I think ajaxifying joomla CMS boost up the loading speed of its content. This is my simple solution for ajaxifying joomla. There are several ways like swajax.com or even i saw so many premium templates that take advantage of ajax to make this happen but my solution is really different and it works almost 98% in the whole website. The first problem that exist in these templates was: 1. some of them changed the core of joomla (obviously the worst way) 2. Some couldn't evaluate any Java Script that exist inside parts of joomla. So i solved these problems in a real easy way. You can extend this way to ajaxify any CMS template. Read the whole tutorial and download the ajaxified joomla template FOR FREE! |

Have you ever designed a website that shows up itself differently in various browsers? Here I have some solutions for this. Using a java script for detecting browsers, you can easily define various CSS style sheets for different browsers. |
